We collect and process the personal/business data we receive from you with a view to the execution of the agreement, customer management, purchases, accounting, and direct marketing activities. The legal grounds are the implementation of the agreement, the fulfilling of legal and regulatory obligations and/or the legitimate interest. This personal data will only be passed on to processors, recipients and/or partners of Emergent Leuven vzw. The customer/supplier is responsible for the accuracy of the personal/business data he provides to us and undertakes to comply with the General Data Protection Regulation with respect to the persons from whom he has transferred the personal data to us, as well as with regard to all possible personal data that he would receive from us and our employees. The customer/supplier confirms that he was adequately informed about the processing of his personal data and about his rights to access, improve, delete, and object.

1. About Emergent Leuven vzw

a. Emergent Leuven vzw is a student organization based in Leuven. We serve   
our clients, partners, advertisers, and talent by organizing events related to our
mission of increasing Data Science skills among students.                                     

b. If you are a new member to   Emergent Student Consulting, you will need to 
agree to this Privacy Policy. If you are creating a new account, the terms below
apply as of today.                                                                                                         

2. Our Privacy Pledge

a. Our commitment is to put students first. We strive to be transparent about   
how we collect and use your information, to keep your information secure and
to provide you meaningful opportunities.                                                                

b. This Privacy Policy is meant to help you understand what information            
Emergent Leuven vzw and its partners collect, why we collect it and what we
do with it. This policy applies to Emergent Leuven vzw and all of its branches  
and to all Emergent Leuven vzw partners (we will collectively refer to these     
as ‘Services’).                                                                                                             

3. Information Collection and Use – General

a. We may collect and combine information when you interact with Emergent 
Leuven vzw, including information outlined below.                                                  

b. Information You Provide to Us. We may collect the information that you        
provide to us, such as:                                                                                                

i. When you apply to the Emergent Leuven vzw Consulting projects.

ii. When you use our Services to communicate with others or post,   
upload, or store content (such as comments, photos, voice inputs,
videos, emails, messaging services and attachments).                    

iii. Emergent Leuven vzw analyzes and stores all communications    
content, including email content from incoming and outgoing mail.
This allows us to deliver, personalize and develop relevant features,
content, advertising, and Services.                                                       

c. Information from Others. We collect information about you when we receive
it from other users, third parties and affiliates, such as:                                       

i. When you apply for an internship at one of our partners.                

ii. From publicly-available sources.                                                         

iii. When we obtain information from third-parties or other                
companies, such as those that use our Services. This may include
your activity on other sites and apps as well as information those
third parties provide to you or us.                                                       

4. How We Use This Information

a. We are able to deliver, personalize and improve our Services by combining  
and using the information that we have about you (including information that
we receive on and off our Services) to understand how you use and interact   
with our Services and the people or things that you are connected to and     
interested in. We also may use the information that we have about you for     
the following purposes:                                                                                              

i. Provide, maintain, improve, and develop relevant features,            
content, and Services.                                                                      

ii. Analyze your content and other information.                                    

iii. Fulfill your requests and when authorized by you.                            

iv. Help Emergent Leuven vzw partners to reach out to you for          
possible internships and other recruitment purposes.                    

v. Match and serve targeted advertising (across devices and both  
on and off our Services).                                                                       

vi. Advertise Emergent Leuven vzw and its branches on social           
media.                                                                                                     

vii. Contact you with information about your account or with            
marketing messages.                                                                           

viii. Associate your activity across our Services. We may associate   
activity and accounts under a single user ID.                              

ix. Conduct research and support innovation.                                      

x. Create analytics and reports for external parties, including           
partners, and the public regarding the use of and trends within our
Services and ads, including showing trends to partners regarding   
general preferences, the effectiveness of ads and information on    
user experiences. These analytics and reports may include             
aggregate or pseudonymized information.                                         

5. How We Share This Information

a. Emergent Leuven vzw shares information within its network and on social     
media. We also share information that we have about you for the purposes    
described in this Privacy Policy, including to provide Services that you have      
requested. We do not sell, license, or share information that individually            
identifies our customers with companies, organizations, or individuals               
outside of Emergent Leuven vzw and its partners, unless one of the                   
following circumstances applies:                                                                              

i. With Your Consent. We will share information with companies,       
organizations, or individuals outside of Emergent Leuven vzw when
we have your consent. With Your Consent. We will share information
received from you to our partners for recruitment purposes.              

ii. Within Emergent Leuven vzw. Information may also be shared       
within Emergent Leuven vzw, including with other Emergent Leuven
vzw Services/Branches.                                                                         

iii. With Partners. We may share your information with nonaffiliated  
companies who are:                                                                              

Trusted partners. We provide user information to trusted
partners who work on behalf of or with Emergent Leuven vzw.

iv. For legal purposes. We may access, preserve and disclose           
information to investigate, prevent or take action in connection with:
(i) legal process and legal requests; (ii) enforcement of the Terms;      
(iii) claims that any content violates the rights of third parties;            
(iv) requests for customer service; (v) technical issues; (vi) protecting  
the rights, property or personal safety of Emergent Leuven vzw, its   
users or the public; (vii) establishing or exercising our legal rights or 
defending against legal claims; or (viii) as otherwise required by law.

This may include responding to lawful governmental requests.          

v. New Ownership. If the ownership or control of all or part of          
Emergent Leuven vzw or a specific Service changes, we may      
transfer your information to the new owner.                                    

6. Data Processing and Transfers

a. When you use or interact with any of our Services, you consent to the data 
processing, sharing, transferring and uses of your information as outlined in this
Privacy Policy. Regardless of the country where you reside, you authorize us to 
transfer, process, store and use your information in countries other than your    
own in accordance with this Privacy Policy and to provide you with Services.   
Some of these countries may not have the same data protection safeguards 
as the country where you reside.                                                                              

b. Emergent Leuven vzw may process information related to individuals in the  
EU/EEA and may transfer that information from the EU/EEA through various     
compliance mechanisms, including data processing agreements based on the
EU/EEA Standard Contractual Clauses. By using our Services, you consent to  
us transferring information about you to these countries.                                     

7. Other Important Information

a. This Privacy Policy Applies Only to Emergent Leuven vzw. This Privacy Policy 
does not apply to the practices of companies that Emergent Leuven vzw does
not own or control, or to people that Emergent Leuven vzw does not employ    
or manage.                                                                                                                   

8. Changes

a. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, so you should check it
periodically. If we make changes that are material, we will provide you with     
appropriate notice before such changes take effect.
